my brother broke my legs today, after he broke my arms last week. hopefully i'll get strong enough that i can use my muscles after his workouts or do dead lifts correctly {for the life of me i can't do those things!} is it my inflexibility? weak muscles? i must know! i got so frustrated travis had to send me to do something else. still, it's nice having a personal trainer, even if he teases me a little {he wouldn't be my brother if he didn't do that}. on a side note, blueberries {any berries really}, walnuts & a french vinaigrette are my new favorite way to make a salad super terrific delicious!

when i dream it usually entails whatever i'm currently stressing about {i stress out a lot}. anyway, last night i dreamt about cheating on my diet with a tiny bite of a chocolate, chocolate chip muffin and all i could think when i got up was "why didn't i eat the whole damned thing?!" i mean i was asleep after all & that muffin tasted good . . . really good.

so we went to the arts festival this weekend, and as we walked around loving the art, music, people watching & food {obviously}; i couldn't help but wonder "where do all these people go during the day?" there were so many fun & interesting people wandering around enjoying themselves you couldn't help but smile. it's one of the events that really makes utah summers great. we also got to see samba fogo again, fire is always fun. on a side note, my sister had never gone to the library roof; so we took the elevator up & wandered around. on the way down this little girl couldn't decided whether she was more excited or scared; it was pretty adorable. hope you all had as fun a weekend as we did! and now off to finish my monday.

0 remember when . . .

. . . you were a kid & you'd draw with chalk. this was like that, but on crack. these drawings were intense. they had booths for kids with games, people dressed up as super heroes, a live band and even gave out free creamies & cotton candy! {i refrained of course, but ivan had a chocolate creamie} here's a sampling of our day at the gateway chalk festival.

ivan is the sexiest commy ever! {seriously folks, he really is} and speaking of red, i love these revamped parking meters! you donate the cash to the homeless shelters of utah, such a fantastic idea! the utah arts festival is this weekend & we will make our yearly round {uinta makes a special beer for the event "arts fest amber ale," it's kind of really amazing}.
